Christmas at Quayside
Singapore’s most talked about new neighbourhood, Quayside, will be celebrating its first Christmas in style with weekly carol singers, festive menus and a vibrant Sunshine Nation Christmas festival.
From December 1st, Quayside’s first Christmas will kick off in style with a series of activity – from seasonal décor and festive menus to river markets and charity donation initiatives. The Quayside atrium will be adorned with Christmas embellishments, an elegant seven metre Christmas tree will decorate the iconic riverfront courtyard and every Friday, the Quayside will welcome carol singers from across the city. Commencing the celebrations on Friday 1st December, Christo Alexander of SongDivision Asia will take to the promenade to sing a selection of Christmas songs to the tune of his acoustic guitar, and the following Fridays of the month will see choral performances from the youth groups of The A Cappella Society.
To celebrate the first weekend of festivities, Sunshine Nation, the name behind Singapore’s renowned Garden Beats and Electro Ball, will be turning their attention to the city’s most sought after destination to introduce a unique new Christmas event – The Quayside Christmas Festival, on Sunday 3rd December. On the day, the leading innovators of experiential events will join forces with the Quayside’s sophisticated restaurant and bar community to bring a series of entertainment. From 11am – 10.30pm, some of Quayside’s loved dining spots will join a lineup of independent pop-up stalls along the waterside for a Christmas market festival. Selling unique themed items and handcrafted gift products, guests will be able to add a spot of Christmas shopping to their Sunday afternoon. Diners at Quayside will be able to enjoy a long al-fresco Sunday afternoon and indulge in limited edition Christmas menus to the soundtrack of laidback beats, an interactive pop-up playground will keep kids entertained throughout the day, and as the sun sets, the promenade and river will glow with Christmas lights as the entertainment continues late into the evening.

A line-up of Singapore’s acclaimed musicians and DJs will take to the Quayside stage. Seven artistes have been handpicked to bring festive and laidback live beats to the Quay for a Sunday of relaxing acoustics and soul. Veteran Jazz singer Zora will bring her smooth vocals, New Stream Brass Band will rove the promenade and headliners The Steve McQueens will bring their signature Soul Funk vibes to the backdrop of the sun setting on Quayside. Local hero DJ Sivanesh b2b Mack will close the day with chilled out electro sounds.

Lawn games, roving magicians and caricaturists will be on hand in a dedicated children’s area next to the new luxury resident hotel, InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay, and Publico Deli – an ideal coffee and newspaper spot for tired parents. Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four and Ring Rope Toss will keep all ages happy at Quayside throughout the day, and an interactive photobooth will ensure the best moments are captured!
